When I walked into the Penman family house for their recent photo session I was amazed that this home to four children under 8 could be so calm and graceful. It’s a credit to parents Andrea and Phil that things run so smoothly here, and it also made something else stand out all the more. I quickly noticed the children’s artwork and precious sentimental items dotted around the otherwise orderly home and I realised that this is a home filled to bursting with love. Love, not just for the 6 gorgeous people who live here, but also for the people who have meant so much to them in life.
Special quilts and keepsake dolls and much-loved toys decorate the children’s rooms and remind them of their grandparents. And little notes of love and appreciation for their parents are stuck to the banisters and doorway. William, the oldest of the four, was keen to show me what he’d been working on most recently, and the others followed suit, showing me the artwork they were proud of. Then we moved on to looking at their favourite toys and games and finally we took some pictures to capture those beautiful family bonds and gorgeous little faces. I really feel like the love and connection that flows so effortlessly amongst these siblings shines through in these images. And I hope this wonderful family agrees!
To the Penman family, thank you for opening up your home to me, and sharing your morning. I hope you love and cherish the memories we’ve created here as much as the many other beautiful keepsakes that you hold dear.
