For the past couple of years I've tried to challenge myself with a personal photography project for the year. In 2017 I failed MISERABLY at doing one self portrait a month. I mean it doesn't sound like a lot, but it's really hard to find the energy (and some flattering light) to pose yourself each month. So this year when I was invited to join in The Couch Project I felt like this was a personal project I could really get behind!!
#TheCouchProject is an initiative to capture everyday life indoors - on and around the couch. Often times that's a gathering place. Sometimes it's a place to retreat to. There are photographers from all across the globe participating in the project and I'm inspired to see everyone's different approaches to this challenge as the year rolls on.
Here's a link to the January round up - as hosted by Lauren McAdams on her own blog. Please take a trip over there and see what the other photographers have offered up this month. My submission "The Entertainer" (which is a technically imperfect slice of life at my parents place) is right at the bottom of that post.
