A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting little Kaley and her family at Birthcare when she was a mere 30 hours old. I was lucky enough to be invited back to photograph her again a fortnight later in the home that her parents had lovingly created and now sold for someone else to enjoy.
There’s something extra special about knowing that you’re photographing not just a baby, not just a family, but also the last memories being created in a house that has welcomed two beautiful baby girls home from the hospital. And it's exciting to think that these images can hang on the walls of a brand new home that has been built from the ground up to nourish and protect this this family as it grows.
There is a true playfulness here. Kaley and her big sister Morgan share the same sparkling eyes and delightfully girly personality. I can see already that they’re going to be a formidable duo for mum and dad!
Jen and Dan – thank you so very much again for inviting me to document your first weeks with Kaley. Your delightful girls are going to fill your days with love and laughter and I hope I get the opportunity to capture that again somewhere down the line.
