This year I'm challenging myself with a couple of personal projects. But having failed to complete a full 365 for the last couple of years (and completely abandoning a self portrait project last year) I hope 2018 shows me to have more stickability!
Last week I shared #thecouchproject where I'm joining a group of international photographers documenting everyday family life and laughter with one "couch" related photo per month. Check it out on Instagram.
Today I'm sharing another of the projects I'm enjoying. It's called 'P52Clicks' - it's 12 months, 12 techniques, one photo a week and 52 opportunities for growth.
Essentially it's a challenge to work on one specific photographic technique or idea per month. For January the theme was "Low Light", a topic I really enjoy and something that was actually preety hard for the southern hemisphere shooters in the group with long, bright summer days!
However my work was lucky enough to be featured in a round up of some of the eye catching images from the month. If you'd like to see my submission from this week, alongside many other beautiful and striking pictures you can visit that feature here.
Here are a few of my other low light shots from the month. I'd love to know which is your favourite?
